Bugs and Dolls — A children’s entertainment app.
The first mode “Sound Box” mode, you tap on the animals to hear what sounds they make. In “Word Mode” when you tap the animals or other objects, their name is spoken to the person along with the text for the animal showing up, sort of flash-card style learning. The final mode is quiz mode where you are asked to find the Panda, when you tap the panda, you move on to the next animal.
The game is pretty straight forward and any toddler, pre-K or younger elementary students will be entertained by this app while learning.
The menus though seem like they may be a bit adult driven. “Sound Box Mode”, “Word Mode” and “Quiz Mode” with an X to tap away the menu seems like something younger kids might struggle with. Some of the animal sounds don’t quite sound like I would expect the animal sound. But then alligators don’t make a lot of noise.
The in-app purchases include a Thanksgiving themed ad in for $0.99 and you can buy the rest of the levels for $1.99.
